Roger Federer, ranked World No. 1 since February 2, 2004 for a record 210 consecutive weeks, is a Swiss player widely regarded as the best player of his generation and one of the best players ever.

Federer has won twelve Grand Slam singles titles (three Australian Open, five Wimbledon, four US Open), four Tennis Masters Cup titles, and fourteen ATP Masters Series titles (including two Miami Masters a.k.a Sony Ericsson Open). He has made and surpassed numerous records over the years, including winning three Grand Slam singles titles in a calendar year three times (in 2004, 2006, and 2007).

In 2007 the Swiss superstar finished No. 1 for a fourth straight year. He has captured an ATP-best eight titles (in 12 finals) for the fourth consecutive season, including three Grand Slam crowns for third time in four years and at least two ATP Masters Series shields.

He has been ranked No. 1 every week since first taking over on Feb. 2, 2004, and has ranked No. 1 for 205 weeks (as of Dec. 31, 2007) and broke the record of Connors (160) for most consecutive weeks at No. 1 on Feb. 26, 2007.
