Jacksonville Jaguars History

The Jaguars, along with the Carolina Panthers, joined the NFL as 1995 expansion teams. They are currently members of the Southern Division of the American Football Conference (AFC) in the National Football League (NFL). In 1996, the Jaguars advanced to the AFC title game, where they lost to the New England Patriots. In 1999 Jacksonville repeated as Central Division champions but lost to the Tennessee Titans in the AFC Championship Game. The Jaguars have never played in the Super Bowl. The team has played in Alltel Stadium since 1995.
