Miami Dolphis History

The Miami Dolphins began play in the American Football League as a 1966 expansion team and joined the NFL as part of the AFL-NFL merger.

The Dolphins are still the only NFL franchise to record a perfect season in 1972, winning every game in the regular season, two playoff games and Super Bowl VII. The team won Super Bowl VIII. Miami also appeared and lost in Super Bowl XVII and Super Bowl XIX.  The team played in the Miami Orange Bowl from 1966 to 1986 and since 1987 have called Dolphin Stadium home. The Dolphins play in the AFC South and the 2007 team is coached by Cam Cameron.
