George Strait, the cowboy who’s been making country hits since 1981 kicked off his annual tour with a sold-out performance on January 10 in Austin Texas.

He's won 16 Country Music Association awards (including consecutive entertainer of the year honors in 1989 and 1990) while being nominated a career record 73 times.
