Eric Clapton the Grammy Award-winning English rock guitarist and composer that is often hailed as one of the greatest guitarists of all time is back on tour.

The legendary English singer and guitarist, currently has 13 appearances planned for May and June, starting with the one in Tampa on May 3.

Clapton, ranked fourth in Rolling Stone Magazine's list of the "100 Greatest Guitarists of All Time," will travel to cities such as Tampa, Orlando and Hollywood in Florida.

After traveling across the Sunshine state Clapton will visit Atlantic City, Montreal and Toronto among others. He will finish the U.S leg of his tour with concerts in Massachusetts and New York.

Clapton, who is promoting his recently released "Complete Clapton," a two-CD career retrospective, has been inducted three times into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. He was first honored as a member of the Yardbirds in 1992, then with Cream in 1993, and finally as a solo artist in 2000.

During his more than 40-year career, Clapton has been honored with 19 Grammys, including a Lifetime Achievement Award. In February he concluded three sold-out concerts with Steve Winwood at New York City's Madison Square Garden that most likely were a preview of the kind of demand that his upcoming tour will have.
