Big 12 Tournament
The Big 12 tournament is the conference championship tournament in men’s basketball for the Big 12 Conference. This single-elimination tournament was held every year since 1997.
In 2008 it will be held between March 13 and March 16, 2008 at the Sprint Center in Kansas City, Missouri. The winner of the tournament is crowned the Big Ten Tournament Champion and receives the conference's automatic bid to the NCAA men's basketball tournament.
In 2007 the Kansas Jayhawks won the tournament by beating the Texas Longhors 88-84. The Jayhawks went on to lose 55-68 in the Elite Eight to the UCLA Bruins.
With that conference championship Kansas now leads the league with five Big 12 Tournament titles. Oklahoma is second with three, while Oklahoma ranks third with two and Iowa State one.
