Atlantic 10 Tournament
The Atlantic 10 tournament is the conference championship tournament in men’s basketball for the Atlantic 10 Conference. This single-elimination tournament has been held every year since 1977.
In 2008 it will be held between March 12 and March 15, 2008 at the Boardwalk Hall, Atlantic City, New Jersey. The winner of the tournament is crowned the Atlantic 10 Tournament Champion and receives the conference's automatic bid to the NCAA men's basketball tournament.
In 2007 George Washington University won the Atlantic-10 Conference championship by beating Rhode Island 78-69. The Colonials went on to lose 64-71 to the Duke Blue Devils in second round of the NCAA Tournament.
Temple University leads the league with six Atlantic 10 Tournament titles. The University of Massachusetts is second with five, while Xavier University ranks third with four.
